Producer:

In the role of the producer, I get to summarize all of my experiences and loves in music,
as well as integrate my passion for technology.

After many years in music, I have come to the conclusion that everything I have learned,
and all the different musical paths I have taken, work totally in my favor ... especially
when I let them complement each other. The perfect scenario to let all of these
experiences flow is the "producers" stage.

The process of recording has many different approaches. On the one hand, we have the
emotion and uniqueness of a "Live" recording: having all of the artists in one single
space, performing all at once, and portraying their live energy. There, the producer gets
to direct the session, decide which takes are the best ones for editing, and work on the overall sound of the album at a very early stage.

On the other hand, there is nothing like the technological and creative approach of a
"studio" recording, where the producer and the sound engineer get to make "musical
magic", perhaps inventing something that doesn't even exist.
To me, everything began with MIDI. Sequencing has been a big part of my life. At age
14, I started writing my first arrangements and recording my first "demos", using
keyboards and computer sounds. Nowadays, it is simply amazing what we are able to do with technology.

Technology ... I do not consider myself a sound engineer. That is a very serious
profession I greatly respect. Therefore, I often find myself working next to amazing
professionals, who I consider in a way "my teachers" ... I have loved technology since I
was child, and I have gotten to learn quite well the nuances of many different applications related to music production.

To me, all of these computer programs, plug-ins, pre-amps, fancy microphones, etc., are tools to make "the magic" happen; but I am a musician first, and I use all these tools from that perspective.

Digital recording, editing, mixing, mastering, etc.... The recording studio is definitely an
environment I know well. I have gotten to work both independently and for major recordlabels.

These are some of my music productions:
Frutero Moderno - Gonzalo Grau y LA CLAVE SECRETA (Grammy Nominated)
La Receta - Gonzalo Grau y PLURAL
Mango - Alex Alvear y Mango Blue
La Pasión Según San Marcos - Osvaldo Golijov (Deutsche Grammophon label)
México - Rolando Villazón (Deutsche Grammophon label)
West Side Story - Katia & Marielle Labeque (KML recordings)
